Life Straw and Water Cone

Clean water equipment at a micro personal scale

There are two objects that a person living in a nomadic, no electricity environment could use to secure clean water for themselves. Or, even as a person who wishes to use no electricity in a city could also use these equipments - the first object is Life Straw, and the second Water cone.

LifeStraw is used to draw up water from any source, its a portable filter that goes from the source to the mouth of the person using it. Therefore, it could be a personal clean way for each person to drink directly from the source. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUx14YuGfLg

Watercone is a light weight object that uses solar power to distill water - take a tray of sea water and let the sun distill the water into 7 glass of clean water over 24 hours, no physical work needed. The tray and cone could be left standing by itself under the sun. Only usable in areas with very strong sun light. Ideal for Africa and parts of sub tropical Asia.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNiPXfW605w

Flashlights instead of nightlight?

Hand crank flash light, instead of using a night light, keep your hand cranked flash light ready by your bed side. Crank up as needed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES76xjJN1gs

Another type is the "shake" and shine flashlight, as shown here, which lasts 10,000hours due to use of led.
